Former Minister Govinda Raj Joshi is Sent to jails


The special court on Wednesday   sent to former minister Joshi  to  one and a half  years in in jails on corruption charges.
The judge Gauri  Bahadur Karki, Om prakash Mishra  and kedar Prasad Chalise also slapped a fine of Rs.21.6 million on the Nepali Congress leader and ordered confiscation of property worth the same amount .Joshi was accused of amassing wealth disproportionate to his income while in public office.

Govinda raj Joshi became minister for seven  times  in various governments and  different portfolios, including Home, local Development, water Resources, and Education , in the 1990s.
